December 9 Update
This was the December 9 email I sent:
Greetings, all.
I have an important New York update for you:
1. Payment. Original payment plan has changed and university policy recommends that cannot charge you for a trip until the actual semester of the trip. So, the news is this: the $950 charge for you will come on your Samford Bursar bill in January 2011.
2. Number of people going. I have 38 solid commitments from Samford students. (names are below). You need to pick your roommates for the trip and sign up as soon as possible on this website.
3. Plane tickets. With the help of Julia Baxter, we have determined a gathering place for your flight. Please make your arrangements to arrive and depart from LaGuardia airport.
Arrive: Tuesday, May 24, 2010
LaGuardia Airport, between 1:45 and 4:15 p.m.
Depart: Monday, May 30, 2010
LaGuardia Airport, after 11 a.m.
4. Performance:
Durufle's Requiem
Carnegie Hall
Saturday, May 28, 2010 8:00 p.m.
5. Tickets for the performance.
We will receive discount ticket order forms 90 days prior to the concert. Tickets go on sale through Carnegie Hall 60 days prior to the concert.
6. Outline of our time in NYC:
Tuesday, May 24 - arrive in afternoon, check-in to Mission House (spend night in Mission House)
Wednesday, May 25 - mission activity with Graffiti Church, service that night (spend night in Mission House)
Thursday, May 26 - Possible mission activity, check into other hotel
Friday, May 27 - rehearsal in morning/afternoon
Saturday, May 28 - afternoon dress rehearsal, 8 p.m. concert
Sunday, May 29 - free day in NYC
Monday, May 30 - depart
